News 2011
The first major show of the year was in Harrogate. My orange dwarf lops came 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 6th in their class. Very pleased. Well done to Michelle who since 2009 has owned the winning orange buck.
Litters are also filling the shed after a long winter. So far there are some deep, high rufus oranges, a litter containing fawns, chocolate otters, black otters and an unexpected blue otter.

The first litters of the year are growing well and gone to new homes.
I had a lovely day at the Southern Championship show, meeting up with friends. The rabbits did very well. Tennyson took first prize out of 10 oranges, the biggest dwarf lop class, if not lop class of the show in the main show. His half brother, Tenleyson, took first place in the National French and Dwarf Lop show on the same day, again out of 10 rabbits.

April 2010
At one of my first shows of the year, Thame on Easter Saturday my black otter took Best Adult Lop. Was really pleased with him.

Summer has arrived and so have the litters!! I think the cold winter helped the does as currently there are 44 babies less than 8 weeks old in the shed. The does have had litters of 6, 7 and 8's. Quite unusual in both dwarf lops and mini lops. The average is nearer 4. Colours include orange, sooty fawn, black otter, agouti, sable and smoke. Some will certainly be available to new homes.
News 2009
More than half way through the year and this is my first update. Whoops!! Showing has taken a bit of a back seat as I've concentrated litters and trying to produce brightly coloured otters.
July 2009 - litters galore.
My does knew a taste of summer was on the way and have produced large litters,
averaging 7 in each. Colours include orange, sooty fawn, chocolate butterflies,
blue, black, cinnamon, self chocolate, lynx, agouti and cinnamon!! I am spoilt
for choice. J Genetics
lessons have paid off as brightly coloured otters are also appearing in the
'chocolate litters'.
August 2009
16 August my young marten sable mini lop took Best of Breed and came 2nd Best Lop. I am delighted. Hopefully the first to many good results for this 'little guy'.
News 2008
January - March
An amazing start to the breeding season with a total of 25 babies in the shed by mid-March, and 2 more does expecting litters. The biggest litter numerically came from Skippy, an orange dwarf lop doe, mated to Tenley, an orange buck. The most successful mini is a sable doe who fed her babies almost to bursting point.
Show-wise the highlight so far has been Didcot on 2nd February when Trison, Trio's son, took Best of Breed and came 3rd Best Lop, out of nearly 30 other rabbits. (Back down to earth the following week when he came 2nd out of 2 though at Reading!!). That's the unpredictability of showing.

June 2007
The first Best of Breed for Trio at the Reading Rabbit Show in June.
Another stunning result at the end of the month at Woburn Abbey, when my young sable mini lop buck only four and half months old, took Best of Breed and second best lop.
August
One of the biggest shows of the year, the London Championships took place at the end of the month and as usual my oranges decided to moult. One of my younger bucks was there and took the CC and Tiny Tim's son, took the mini lop sable CC, so a good weekend.
September
One of the few agricultural shows I have manage to attend, the Thame Show and Trio's son did extremely well, took the CC from his Dad, and came 2nd in the U/5 month lop challenge.
November
Back to the village halls as the winter approaches and again Trio's son does well, taking the dwarf lop orange CC and coming third in the under 5 month lop challenge.
December
Both Reading and Didcot this month. At Reading Trio took the orange dwarf lop CC, it was his son's first show as an adult and he needs a few months to develop into a mature adult. Another one of Tiny Tim's sons was there. Looked very neat on the show table but beaten by a more mature rabbit. I am hopeful his time will come!
